The Challenge

Their network infrastructure had been shoe stringed together. Project management was haywire. MI Spine & Pain was experiencing tremendous growth, including the expansion from 1 to 3 facilities throughout Michigan. They had multiple vendors conducting multiple projects that conflicted with one another, causing an incredibly chaotic infrastructure. A few items they wanted:

  • A consistent platform for anti-virus, operating system and application management.
  • Network infrastructure reorganization and reconfiguration.
  • Technical support for customized software solutions
  • Regular on-site preventative maintenance visits.
  • A reliable data protection and backup plan.
  • Electronic Medical Records (ERM) support and management.

 

The Solution

We created a complete desktop, server and data solution for MI Spine and Pain. We also provided them project management guidance by becoming their Virtual CIO (VCIO). Below are a few solutions we provided them:

  • Mediated and negotiated with their various vendors.
  • Created an organized execution plan for projects.
  • Reviewed their network infrastructure, implementation processes and project costs.
  • Senior level technical support and infrastructure analyses at each location.
  • Implemented technology practices that would increase performance and stability.
  • Dispatch a technician to each location regularly.

As a result, we increased the productivity of the doctors and the nursing staff. Sharon Williams no longer has the daily pressures of maintaining their network.
